怪しげなオークション iOffer.com で詐欺られたので、その対処法とか

iTunes Store の gift card を安く買えないかとネットを徘徊していたら、iOffer という怪しげなネットオークションを発見。出品者は中国人だらけ。ブランド物が $20 とかばっかり。商品名やメーカー名には、なぜか記号を混ぜてくる。さらに出品者から fuck とか bitch とか罵られる、ひどい空間。

で、amazon.com の $100 分の gift card が $60 だったので、購入してみました。既に他の人が $60 で購入しているっぽかったので、大丈夫かな、と思いつつ購入。ただし、安全のため、PayPal で購入しました。PayPal だと詐欺られても補償してくれるので。

iOffer は買い手と売り手が直接値段交渉するという仕組み。今回は $60 で即決価格だったので、click すると請求書が送られてきました。そのまま手続きを進め、相手の指定する PayPal の口座へ $60 を送金しました。

これが、やりとりの画面。細かい英語の間違いは気にしない。

2011 年 1 月 11 日に購入手続をし、16 日に実際に PayPal で $60 を振り込みました。そのまま 1 月 22 日まで待っても音沙汰なかったため、iOffer へ問題報告をするとともに、PayPal へも通報しました。同じ業者から購入手続をしている他の買い手がいたので、その人ともやり取りをしたところ、同じように連絡が一切ないとのこと。

iOffer は場を提供するだけなので、iOffer に助けを求めても何にもしてくれません。↓これが iOffer から 1 月 24 日に来た返事。この段階では、問題報告を受け付けました、というだけの内容。

そして 2 月 9 日に来た返事がこちら。基本的に iOffer は何もできませんよ、PayPal に問い合わせてね、という中身です。出品者は iOffer から強制退会になっているそうです。

次に PayPal からの返事が 1 月 31 日に来ました。これも、「受け付けました」の通知です。PayPal 側で売り手とやり取りするので、その結果次第でまた PayPal が動きます。それまで、購入者は数日間待ちます。
